  I was prescribed a 10 day count of a antibiotic that is considered pretty harsh on the system. I noticed that after several days of taking it, that I still had a 10 day supply in the bottle. When I called the pharmacy to address my concern and ask for assistance in how to proceed, their lackadaisical attitude was beyond infuriating. They, in ERROR gave me double the dosage and their overall reply was "ok we'll make note of that, thanks". What the heck? I am thankful that I had the clarity to count out the Rx again myself and question what had happened. I worry that other older or senior patients may not, as it was very clear I needed to finish the whole bottle. When I asked what I should do, or should I bring the bottle back and see how to proceed, they replied: "I mean you can if you want but there's really nothing I can do about it". A pharmacy staff's only job is to prescribe medication CORRECTLY and be able to answer questions with some kind of knowledge and compassion. This CVS failed miserably on both accounts. My take away is that this team could use some training on compassion. They know that a patients insurance keeps them coming back, it appears their need to give quality customer service isn't a priority.
